I’m not going to sign your NDA because it’s not worth anything.

I’ve been strongly influenced by posts like this one and I’ve ranted about NDAs on my podcast.

My personal philosophy is I’m not going to act on 99% of my ideas and I’ll need help from others to bring anything of value from  the 1% that I’m going to act on. Bottom line, I’d rather be open and give away the 99% and find the people who are going to help me with the 1% as soon as possible. NDAs just slow the process down for no real reason.

As a rule, unless a client is willing to pay for a minimum engagement of $10,000 I don’t sign NDAs.
